Wedding Planning 101: 3 Things To Talk To Your Banquet Hall About

Posted on

Planning a wedding can be both exciting and nerve-wracking. In addition to finding the perfect wedding dress, you also need to find the perfect venue. Once you land the perfect venue, one of the stresses that a lot of people run into is figuring out additional services to hire such as food and decor. One type of venue that you may want to consider is a banquet hall.

Banquet halls are a great option for both wedding ceremonies and receptions because you can typically get everything taken care of all in one spot. Once you find a banquet hall that you like, there are a few different services that you will want to talk to them about.

Catering

Which banquet hall catering services are available at the banquet hall? Do they have contracts with a bunch of different caterers around town, or do they have their own in-house caterer? If they have different catering options, that can be nice because it gives you more options to choose from. Plus, the great thing about catering is that you can go out and taste-test all of the different choices so that you and your significant other can land on the choice that you like the most.

In addition to finding the right caterer, you will also want to ask if they have things like silverware and plates for everyone so that you don't have to worry about it. Oftentimes, caterers will charge a small fee for these things, but it will be worth it so that you don't have to worry about it.

Cleaning

The last thing you want to be responsible for is cleaning up after your reception. Make sure that the banquet hall has an in-house cleaning service that will come take care of everything after the reception so that nobody in your wedding party has to think twice about it. Some cleanup services will even do things like package leftover food and place presents in your car so that you can take things home with you.

Decorations

Decorations can really make or break your entire wedding. While you may have a vision in mind for how you want things to look, you may not know how to put things into action. Ask your banquet hall about what kinds of decorations they have on hand. Sometimes banquet halls have tons of different styles of flower vases, lights, and table linens for you to choose from. If you like what they have in stock, then all you will have to do is work with a florist to fill everything up.
